ShuffleDB presents:CapDat
CAPTURE. MIX. HAND OFF.
NATIVE ANDROID CAPTURE

Begin with a capture that remembers where it came from.

CapDat records the performance, manages the guide track and microphone mix, preserves source context, and prepares the result for the rest of the ShuffleDB creator pipeline.

CREATOR PIPELINE

Capture once. Carry the context forward.

01CapDat

Record the performance, guide track, microphone, color treatment, and source relationship.

02TrackDat

Receive the capture and its manifest for motion processing, overlays, framing, and rendering.

03EditDat

Combine clips and make reversible human-approved editing decisions when a larger edit is needed.

04PostDat

Package the approved render, preserve credits, write copy, review, schedule, and publish.

CURRENT ANDROID MVP

What CapDat already does

These capabilities come directly from the supplied Android project—not from a speculative web mockup.

01

Native camera capture

Records portrait-ready FHD video with CameraX, front/back camera switching, and configurable countdowns.

02

Guide-track recording

Loads phone audio or video as a guide, plays it during the performance, and can include it in the finished MP4.

03

Audio control

Supports track-only, microphone-only, and track-plus-microphone output with levels, routing, noise suppression, and sync offset.

04

Matched color

Brightness, contrast, saturation, and warmth adjustments appear in the live preview and are applied again during final export.

05

Capture library

Browses phone media, recent guide tracks, and CapDat captures with preview, reuse, and Android-authorized deletion.

06

Source lineage

Links dance captures to source recordings and music metadata, then writes a structured manifest for downstream TrackDat work.

CURRENT BOUNDARY

Local-first by design

  • Finished captures are saved to Movies/CapDat on Android.
  • TrackDat manifests currently live in CapDat’s private app storage pending an export/share workflow.
  • SoundCloud authentication still needs production Authorization Code + PKCE before distribution.
  • Samsung screen recording remains explicitly user-controlled.
  • App-playback capture is an extension point, not a completed production source.
  • No public installation or download is offered from this informational page yet.
